Prices and commissions: one rule

In every Trade Math tool, price fields mean the instrument price itself, excluding commissions.

Price to enter

Use the execution price, target price or stop price. Do not add or subtract commissions.

Commissions

Trade Math does not estimate normal broker commissions: it uses the costs entered by the user. A blank commission field is treated as zero.

Average cost and cost basis

Do not use a tax cost basis or average cost that already includes commissions, or they will be counted twice.
